The technologies of computer network evolve continually, and are applied in various fields of modern society. Besides it's used in information sharing, computer network can be used to transmit controlling data in order to implement network-based remote control. Then man can control device from more distant area. The system implementation in this way is discussed in this paper, which enable operator control remote computer only through universal browser.The technologies about remote control and network-based remote control are presented and analyzed in the paper. It also makes a detail introduce about principle of computer remote control technology, which includes both software and hardware technologies, and its advantages over the pure software one. Both software and hardware technologies and B/S model are chose as the control mode and architecture of the system to be implemented. Object-oriented technology, such as Java is used to analyze, design and implement the system.The computer remote control system basic on the RIPC of KVM Switch is implemented as a Web application. The remote control client program which is actually an Applet and embedded in web page is distributed to client computer through B/S model. The server program is stored in RIPC to reduce computer resources to be taken up, and data transmission protocol is designed in the transport layer, so that that can provide better data transmission speed for system and the better system real-time.
