With the continuous development of computer network, the computer remote control technology has been used widely. At the same time, it faces to great challenges. First, the remote control system should take up host resource as little as possible.Second, the transmission of large visual data needs more effective data compress method. Finally, the hosts and communication often involve sensitive management and control information, but the network is insecure. In order to resolve above, a remote control system based on KVM Switch's RIPC is discussed in the article, which uses hardware and software combination, B/S model and SSL protocol.The system does not take up the host resource which can be controlled on signal-level.With the system, customers can use a web browser through the network to control a remote computer safely.KVM Switch's RIPC remote control system design is discussed in the article. The display module and secure communication module have been designed and implemented. The screen image capture,sampling and data compression are analysised and design in detail.An improved screen image data compression encoding algorithm is present which has a higher compression rate and decoding speed.The design and implementation of the unit in the secure communication module based on SSL protocol is presented in the end.
