With the rapid development of computer application system and Internet technology, lots of enterprises have already transferred their information system to Internet, in the purpose of expanding business, reducing production cost and enhancing their own competition ability. However, as Web application software has the features of heterogeneity, distribution, concurrence and independence of platform, new challenges have flung down in the software testing area.In order to guarantee the reliability of quality and well performance of gradually complicated Web application software, there is a need to utilize good test model and test framework. It could execute the Web application test efficiently and do the performance optimization according to the testing results.The thesis firstly analyzed the characters of Web application test and compared its differences with traditional test. It also studied the current testing model and its performance standards, performance parameters and performance indicators. Then put forward a more precise P-WPTM modeling based on improving some disadvantages of common WPTM modeling. Secondly, according to the improved model, the thesis gave its own processed Web performance testing framework. It systematically discussed the framework in the field of basic procedure, database performance, Web application, J2EE application program and testing methods. And it also gave the optimization suggestion in the case of the whole theory and method. This method could utilized efficiently in nowadays Web application performance testing. Lastly, the thesis used the Web testing results to analyze and verify the outcome with combination of the former P-WPTM modeling and Web performance testing framework.
