Along with the rapid development of Computer Technology and LSI, Instrument system combining tightness with Computer Software, which made a breakthrough intraditional equipment, there appears a bran-new instrument concept--VirtualInstrumentation, VI.The kernel of VI is to simulate applied with VI software system. Labview is one of the most popular tools for VI software design, which widely recognized and accepted by Industrial, science group and laboratory, and standard data-collection&Instrument control software, Now VI have already been the standard software flat roof in test/measurement and control area.The appearance of VI is a breakthrough in measurement instrument area, it entirely changed the traditional instrument concept, radically renew the concept and bring people a new one. VI delegates the up-to-minute aspect and trade for measurement instrument development, which is the major trend for instrument development in the future.In the early days, the first era water pump test system was makeup of kinds of finger style instruments, which is fallen into disuse along with the digital age. Now widely used is the system makeup of standard instrument (or module) and computer, which called the second era water pump test system. As an advantage, it has a more high precision than the first era. Also it can be controlled by PC, data collected directly into PC to deal with. But it has disadvantages, such as so many instruments, complex connection, high cost, huge system, difficult to program, and also the data wave rapidly, have no good measurement arithmetic, hard to maintain and etc. The instruments are easy to be fallen into disuse.In this paper, the third era water pump integrate test system based on VI are discussed and investigated. It can be divided into two parts:1. choose to configure PXI series DAQ test board and related hardware by study the theory and analysis for kinds of parameters, expound its function.To meet the requirement for related parameters, such as flow, pressure of input &output connector, motor voltage, current, roll speed, temperature and etc, need to choose DAQ instruments: 5 slots NI PXI-1033PXI classis integrated with MXI-Express controller; NI PXI-6280 data-collect board which collect 16 channels analog inputs including torque, resistance, temperature and etc; NI PXI-6238 data-collect board which measure the pressure; NI PXI-6143 S series Multi-function data-collect board which to measure the roll speed and flow; PXI-6722 board which can control the motor start, Voltage-adjustor controlling motor, Vacuum pump and Electromagnetic valve; NI PXI-4065 through the creation of high-channel data acquisition system for voltage, current and resistance measurement or diode test.2. To do analysis for LabVIEW software in the comprehensive water test system interface design based on built hardware test platform.By studying the water pump test methods related to study and formulate procedures for the preparation of background LabVIEW and debugging programs. In this paper, involving more measured parameters, larger equipment, software design surface wider. By analysis of water pump test process, use LabVIEW to design the main panel, the parameter input panel, the panel test equipment, start Control Panel, instrument panel monitor, data acquisition panel..Parameter input panel includes the following 5 categories: information management, the design parameters of water pumps, electrical design parameters, environmental parameters, the coefficient of the sensor input.Test equipment panel includes the following columns: type of test, the test bed, test equipment choice.Start Control Panel includes the following columns: pre-test data collection, electric magnetic valve control, vacuum pump and motor control to start, the torque sensor control.Instrument control panel for the pump test in the process of monitoring the various parameters, including the following parameters: Three-phase voltage, current three, while the start of the vacuum pump control, electromagnetic valve for regulating switch.Data collection panel is in charge of various parameters of the water pump collection experiments show and draw curve.3. Background program design process based on the LabviewData flow programming - to flow in the form of transfer. LabVIEW is not due to text-based programming language, the code can not be "progressive" implementation. G management of the implementation of the rules of procedure known as data streams. The node only performs when all its input data arrives; when completed, the data provided by the node to the output terminal, and immediately delivered to the terminal from the source. Data stream is clear that corresponds to the text of the implementation of procedures to control the flow method to control the flow according to the instructions prepared by the implementation of the order. Although the process is the implementation of the traditional order-driven, and the implementation of the data stream is a data-driven or data-dependent.System Software Development have many choices, mainly depending on the water pump test requirements. The basic model of development is to set the develop / control computer as a host computer, and other node computer as RT goal, at the same time to install the corresponding components LabVIEW RT, using its development approach to develop software. That is, in the host to finish all of the software's compiling and debugging, and then downloaded to the target node to run. In this way can make full use of the LabVIEW graphical programming language efficiency, and get the realization of the project quickly.Through a variety of testing methods for analysis of the water pump to form a programming algorithm by using LABVIEW. LabVIEW project can organize VI and other LabVIEW documents, also non-LabVIEW, documents including non-paper, such as documents and other files can think of. After saved the project, LabVIEW will create a project document. In addition to the preservation of project works included in the documents related information, the project works also preserve the configuration, and the development of information compiled.The main production of this paper is to use VI technique in water pump test, which help to avoid of multifarious instruments debug, equipments maintenance, software upgrade, unconnection with hardware and other issues. Also with its advantage have the system more easily to use and maintain. Self definition and design for software functions rapidly reduce the cost for the hardware replacement, maintenance and software upgrade of water pump test system.This paper will play a positive part in the research and popularize of water pump test system based on VI, the same to lab detect system upgrade and development.
