Internet has entered into multimedia communication era. As a technology of multimedia transport, streaming media is gradually becoming the major application of internet. How to provide large scale streaming media content distribution on internet has been the core of the streaming media research in last 10 years. In the distribution of streaming media content, indexing and transport are needed to be solved in any P2P system. There are some problems in present indexing and positioning mode of streaming media application, such as index speed, transport speed and the utilization rate of node.In P2P streaming media system, an efficient and practical mechanism with indexing and transport can balance the system load, strengthen the stability of system, and reduce the search delay of node. Based on analyzing the Background architecture of P2P system,streaming media system, various indexing method and two kinds of representative transmission arithmetic, this paper lucubrated various indexing and transmission method, using the indexing sever as the searching mode for resource positioning and using more than one data source node transport mode.In practical application, as different contribution to the whole network, node with different service ability should be inspirited differently. This paper proposed a business excitation mechanism with P2P streaming media system index and transport. We propose a transport system by introducing excitation mechanism into streaming media, and the way to set up excitation mechanism. Then, after setting up excitation mechanism using, we improve the present index rule by using the parameter, such as proposing new region partition coordinates establish mode, improving situation judge formula and improving deciding of present sort algorithm. Meanwhile, in this paper we compare FSS with OTS in detail, and come to conclusion that while transfer streaming media segment which have the same size, OTS is better. We introduce excitation mechanism into data control OTS, and ameliorate the disposal method about OTS's invalidation node, adopt bandwidth measure mode to eliminate the problem of route share, and avoid large expense brought by topology-aware. Experiments indicates that the mechanism proposed in this paper works well on improving indexing speed, reducing startup delay, reducing missing packet rate and improving transport speed.
