As the development of IT, Collaborate design systems have been widely using in manufacturing company. Data exchange technology is a difficulty problem of CAD&CG . Aiming at exchanging 3D models among CAD users in heterogeneous CAD systems in collaborative design, a new integration-exchange strategy which supports collaborative design was proposed. A platform for 3D model integration data exchange was constructed to provide 3D model exchange services for different CAD systems in the strategy. The platform can make model exchange on web, in the process of data exchange little of information was lost, after the exchange model was editable and the ding idea was retained.Firstly, The model of the strategy, expression of 3D model and implementation of the platform based on the strategy were given. Then this thesis discuss the data exchange method of heterogeneous CAD systems based on feature; It analysis the formation of CAD feature's Information, detailed introduce the feature mapping technology which based on standard feature and the express method of sharing-model's information based on XML. It studies the key technology of data exchange, raising a geometrical element identify method which was improved from geometry certificates. Using this method to identify geometrical element can find the object correctly and save a lot of time. It also raising a constraint-exchanging method, the method can retain the design idea between target-model and source-model. This thesis also introduces the meaning of standard feature and expression manners of the standard feature.In order to test and verify the feasibility of the strategy, an integration-exchange platform using JSP and ActiveX technology was constructed. An I/O interface of CATIA V5R14 and UG NX5 is developed by VC. Some features such as extrude, revolve, sweep, fillet, chamfer, mirror can be exchanged successful on web. The exchanged CAD model of CATIA can be edit in UG, Also high-level design intent is reserved. Meanwhile it is more efficient and produces smaller size intermediate data files.
