| This article describe the principle of RS232. especially,it focus on the evolvement of software from process-oriented era to the brand new era of object-oriented network computation. With Visual BASIC language and its attached component(MSCOMM32.OCX),an example is given to demonstrate that object-oriented technique plays an important role in solving the problems of software engineering concerning efficiency as well as life period. In the last part,the current new developing ,com+and CMM,is mentioned.
