Along with the rapid scientific and technological development, image and video technology becomes more widely available. Image processing technology has become an important technology in the information processing field. Practical applications have multiple scaling algorithm to complete image scaling, Bilinear interpolation algorithm and linear bicubic interpolation algorithm has been widely applicated. But there are many different applications for the dedicated system scaling algorithm.Based Video Processing System structure and algorithm research, this thesis details the project against the new structural design, algorithm choice, VLSI Design and FPGA verification,and the design of image zoom, mixed stack, Frame transform, and so on. This thesis discussed bilinear interpolation algorithm and bicubic linear interpolation algorithm in detail,finally, Bilinear interpolation algorithm is used to reduce the hardware circuit complexity, save hardware resources and reduce design costs. In the circuit, inverted type filter pipeline structure is used to applicate the horizontal and vertical scaling. This will not only achieve stability data processing, but also can be used to reduce hardware costs and increase processing speed. At the same time, the design maximize the use of reusable modules of the design, more regular circuit structure save the circuit area.In this thesis, top-down design method is used.We use Verilog HDL to implementate the video processing system design, and EDA tools for logic simulation and verification, and FPGA to achieve certification program. By the logic verification and system simulation, the video processing system is expected to meet the functional requirements for different resolution, different frame frequency of the input image, can display in the relative stability and clear image.
