This world is a fast developing world. Electronic manufacture technology is the fastest going one in the manufacture technology. PCB assembly is the basic and main field in electronic information industry. PCB is the circuit board on which there will be cells printed on it according to design. PCB assembly is to assemble electronic cells on the circuit board to make the cells connected with each other. It relate to many different subjects. It is not only capital compression, technology compression but also knowledge and work force compression. It is hard to improve the assembly software which inset with the machinery. In this thesis, the optimization of PCB assembly scheduling for a large collateral system will be discussed. This problem can be divided into three subproblems: nozzle allocation, feeder distribution and component placement sequence problem. By analyzing the characteristics of the solutions, detailed algorithm to the three subproblems also be designed: cluster analysis, sequence traversal, assignation of built-in pick-and-place set. Then they are be organically integrated according to the internal connection. Results of the samples indicate that this scheduling algorithm is more efficient than the software which built-in JUKI FX-1.
