Research On Method Of Data Model Mapping Based-on Ontology

Along with the rapid development and popularization of computer application, information system has been applied to almost all fields of life. A large number of heterogeneous data sources appear in the informationization-process. But with the development of Internet, information sharing and interoperability are proposed by people which promote the research on heterogeneous data integration technology. The purpose of data integration is to the utmost extent shield the characteristics of data such as heterogeneous and distributed, which provides a unified pattern for users to achieve information sharing in heterogeneous data sources. In data integration, solving semantic heterogeneity is a difficult problem and a hot topic in current research.The paper first focuses on correlative theories and technologies of heterogeneous data integration, analyzes and compares the existing data integration methods. The traditional methods of data integration more focus on solving heterogeneity of heterogeneous data in structural level, but unable solve the problem of semantic heterogeneity. So the paper puts forward a kind of Data Model Mapping method based on ontology, introduces ontology to realize the heterogeneous data sources integration in conceptual level, finds the semantic relations of heterogeneous data and primarily solves the problem of semantic heterogeneity during data integration.The paper introduces the related concept of ontology, ontology integration and ontology mapping, and then introduces ontology establishment methods and ontology description languages. After the domain ontology is built, the paper gives the method to build the semantic tree by ontology and accurately describe the meaning of data item in the data model using semantic tree. The paper analyzes the mapping relations between different data models and makes the mapping rules through unified description of each data model. According to mapping rules it discovers semantic mapping relations of data models and produces data model mapping file. The paper uses XML file format to storage the descriptions of data model and data mapping relations. Finally, the paper expatiates on the realizing process of prototype system, which includes the application of the key technologies and the design of system. The method which the paper proposes is efficacious and feasible which is proved by test data.
