Internet is rapidly becoming the acquisition, dissemination and transmission of information important channel network in the political, economic and other aspects playing an important role.The thesis has researched video transmission technology and the related technology, according the existing video chat system and video meeting system, a video transmission system which could make linking computers through Intranet or Internet transmit video information real-time has been accomplished. In the design, the main technologies: TCP/IP protocol, video compression technology and so on, the operating environment: Windows XP, Visual C++ 6.0 and so on.The video transmission system based on VC contains two parts: the sending part and the receiving part, The sending part starts first, and is at the monitor condition continuously, when the receiving part sends request data, it first sends out the data request to the corresponding sending part, after receiving the request the sending part passes its IP multicast address and the port number to the receiving part, when receives IP multicast address and the port number, the receiving part sends back confirmation information, simultaneously joins this multicast group, waiting to receive data. After receiving the confirmation information the sending part transmit the video data to this multicast group, the receiving part can be possible to receive while broadcasts the video information.The video transmission technology based on VC is the essential part of multitudinous network application, the development of this technology will greatly promote the development of the video conference system and video chat system. Further analysis the video transmission technology, not only making me grasp the common video encoding, video decoding protocol and transmission protocol, but also providing the possibility solution for the reality existence questions.
