Research Of Mass Data Storage Based On Grid Database

With the fleetly development of the information technology, data explosion has become an outstanding problem, The mass data management technology has always been one of the hotspots in the research area. The traditional management technologies can not meet the demands of capacity and performance Requirements. Grid Database is application of Database in the Data Grid environments. One hand, the application of Data Grid technologies could meet the demand of mass data storage such as capability, performance, efficiency and security; the other hand, the data can be managed with database .It offers a new approach of mass data management.In this paper, The Grid Database Service System aiming at data resource that storaged in database has been framed and implemented based on OGSA-DAI. Metadata service management is the most important part of system design, a new metadata classification pattern has been realized by combine the existent mode of metadata classification and hierarchical structure of Grid Database. And introduced a two-level Cache mechanism into metadata management which can improve the system efficiency remarkably.The core function of the system is achieved by Metadata Service Management module(MSM) and Grid Database Service Management module(GDSM). MSM responsible for metadata management, provide detection and choice mechanism of metadata. GDSM responsible for combination and extend of the elementary services which are provided by OGSA-DAI. MSM and GDSM work together to realize functions of data management. The verification results show that the design is effective.
