The advance of space flight represents the science level of the whole nation. After the achievement of ShenZhou 5, ShenZhou 6, people are eager to do more research of the deep space. The lunar is the nearest satellite to us, and it's also the first one we'll do. Now the national government has scheduled to send lunar rover to it.In many aspects, deep space communication is very different from the ground communication. So the most important task of space communication is to provide some special methods for deep space. It requires designing the communication controller of the lunar rover, to provide data transmitting between the rover and the lunar lander and the earth. The communication controller is mainly used to control the data link communication protocols. In this paper, under the conditions of channel between the lunar and the earth, and the channel between the rover and the lander, a transmit scheme is provided. At the same time, a method to full-duplex communication is provided.First, the characteristics of deep space communication and space communication protocols which are widely used are studied, such as CCSDS, OMNI. According to the main functions in which communication controller are controlling the link layer protocol, it analyses the characteristics of channels. Then, it provides a controlling project of link layer.Then, the paper deeply studies the format and using rules of the data link layer protocol HDLC, and separately studies the characteristics of lunar-earth channel and lunar-lunar channel, and regulates the frame. In this paper, HDLC is carried out under VC++.Next, the structure of MPC850 is studied and analyzed, and exploiter, MPC850 and host computer are connected, and the initialization of the host computer and network environment are completed. The communication module's function and working mode are deeply studied, so that it is much easier to realize the requiring function on MPC850.At last, the MPC850 and Linux are used as system developing flat, and based on the characteristics of link layer controlling protocols and system developing flat, full-duplex communication is realized and usability of the system are tested.
