The time synchronization on network is an important research field in the dis-tributed control system, which is the foundation of many key application based onnetwork.With the rapid development of network technology, the synchronization of dif-ferent devices in a distributed system becomes more and more important.To realizenetworked test and measurement on current Ethernet network, precise time synchro-nization among di?erent terminals should be achieved.With the rapid development of network technology, the synchronization of di?er-ent devices in a distributed system becomes more and more important. In this thesis,the precise IEEE1588 time synchronization protocol is analyzed, and the time synchro-nization process including model, master clock select arithmetic and time correctionare discussed.In this thesis, engine module system frame of precision Time Protocol was de-signed, adopting the Best Master Clock algorithm, local clock Synchronization algo-rithm, and the control of sending and receiving of PTP messages, describing entireimplement process of IEEEl588 clock synchronization among local equipments in thisthesis, Based on design ?ow of embedded system, the thesis has made thorough researchin embedded Linux and elaborated on commonly process of cross compiled environ-ment and software design. At last, the S3C2410 ?at was made to establish embeddedLinux system, applying time synchronization PTP protocol to synchronize time.The research of this thesis has preferable use for the time synchronization technol-ogy of Ethernet network and applying time synchronization PTP protocol to establishembedded Linux system.
