The Design And Realization Of Digital Video Fiber Optic Receiver

The long range transfer of the video signal in video monitor system is a difficult problem, it can not be solved with perfect solution before the widely use of fiber communication technology. The fiber communication has many merits. High transfer speed, low transfer wastage, long usable transfer distance. It have widely use in the video monitor system.The digital video fiber optic transceiver's function is take the analog video signal to digital,then transfer the digital data through the fiber with the fiber optic transmitter. Those digital video data will be received by the fiber optic receiver, recover it from optical signal. Digital signal can be transfer directly; it also can be transfer after digital to analog transform.In this paper a single channel digital video fiber optic receiver based on single mode fiber was designed.three main part is included in this design, one is the video process module based on CPLD and D/A conversion chip, this module's main function is to complete code conversion and D/A conversion and to amplify analog video; another module is the control signal circuit made of MAX489 and cd4046a, this module's function is to driver the RS serial control signal and to modulate the signal and the electric level conversion. And a laser send and receiver module, base on the optical module NTR-21215T.We use the verilog HDL language to write the CPLD program to complete the decoder of 8B/10B code of fiber transfer.In sum, the hardware and software design is complete in this paper, this design can transfer video data and control signal safely with long distance. This design has the sky-high practicality and could apply to many fields.
