As an important branch of measurement field, composite video measurement is more and more valuable for the rapid improving video broadcasting technology. Video measurement is mainly focused on measuring and analyzing video index in order to evaluate the performance of video equipments. Developing digitize and intelligent measurement system is the trend of video measurement.This paper focused on the design of a high reliable, integrated and automated video measurement equipment with lower cost. Firstly, the paper introduced the research status of video measurement, following with some basic conceptions and measurement methods. It then described a video measurement system with hardware design and software design. The hardware frame with sampling module, processing module and PCI interface module was shown. And then followed with the description of software design, including function flow of the whole system and each of its modules. And at last the paper took a discussion in debugging issues.This paper also mentioned the solution of using PCI9054 as the bridge for PCI bus interface. It probed into the hardware solution and bus interface logic of PCI interface, and then the design and implement of WDM driver.The last part of paper is a test to the system. Based on the testing result, the system has high performance and reliability. It also can afford the real-time measurement.
