Along with the development of the informationization, the intellectualization and the Network, the embedded system technology has obtained the broad development space. Embedded system, which is application-oriented, is a kind of computer system, with its software and hardware capable of being reduced. With the improving of the application demand, the better capability is required. Facing the broad market of manufacturing industry, the original manual control equipments or low levels of digital control equipments have been unable to meet people's demands. Therefore, in order to meet the needs of the market, many of the mechanical manufacturing industry begin to improve the control technology of the original equipments.So when we improve the control technology of the Oblique Cutting Machine according to the manufacturer'requirement, we utilize 32-bit embedded ARM processor as the controlling core of the embedded system. It has characteristics of high performance, plentiful interfaces and convenient transplantation and extension.And also we adopt embedded technology as the platform of the controller owing to the embedded systemμC/OS-Ⅱof high real-time ability, high reliability and rich resources so that the developing period is cut down and resource is saved.The paper mainly studies the hardware circuit design and the software design of the module. The hardware platform's core is microprocessor LPC2210. The peripheral circuits of LCD are designed and also the keyboard and LED module, motor control module, step motor control module, main motor control module and SD card module .The design and debugging of hardware are done. The boot code and driving program are also fulfilled. In the software, the system possesses the ability to handle multi-task via the transplantation of embedded real-time operation systemμC/OS-Ⅱ.Making full advantage of embedded real-time operation system realizes the communication of multi-task and the reasonable utility of hardware system and solves the problem of program developing and maintaining with the system getting bigger and bigger. ZLG/GUI embedded graphics interface is also transplanted on the foundation ofμC/OS-II operation system. Due to its simplicity, good-looking, convenience and humanization, it is very easy for customers to interact with the machine. The SD card module in the ZLG / FS file system is also transplanted. It is very convenient for customers to read and write data into SD card. It also makes the control of low-cost, high-performance become true.Finally, the paper gives a conclusion, and points out the further research direction.
