Research On Data Warehouse For Group Company Toward To CRM

Along with market competition is becoming more and more intense, enterprise has changed from "Product-Oriented" to "Customer-Oriented". CRM has become an important concept which has been paid more and more attention by companies all over the world. The work to build a useful customer relationship management system and then foster and mine our existing customers or potential customers has been considered the key step for the enterprise's farther success. It's of uttermost importance for corporations to use computer and networks technology combined with technologies such as data warehouse and deeply excavate and analyze current and historical production data information and relative environmental information, so that corporations can automatically get quick access to the information that helps make decision. As the corporation's business expending to more and more areas, the data warehouse also tend to be distributed.The paper firstly introduces some basic concept of data warehouse and the custom relationship management, and expatiates on the theory of data warehouse and relative technologies, and deeply discusses the application of the data warehouse in the CRM. We also discuss the uses the dot modeling and multidimensional modeling to design the data warehouse which supports the CRM. Then, the characteristics of distributed data warehouse are explained, and combined with the characteristics of the group company of manufacture industry, a model of distributed data warehouse for CRM in manufacture industry is proposed. At the end, the paper illustrates the design of OLAP system based on the distributed data warehouse.
