Study On Construction Program Of Guangxi Mobile IP MAN

This document first briefs the development trend of the telecom network, and expects IP network to be the bearer core of the telecom network. It carries out simple analysis on the data network of Guangxi Mobile and finds that: The networks above the provincial backbone network level are clearly structured; however, separate occupation of a network by each service on the MAN level is unfavorable for the integration and development of services. This project aims to build a unified, reliable, and future-proof quality IP MAN.Secondly, it analyzes the technical requirements for multi-service IP bearer network. It briefs the MPLS, the technology critical for IP MAN, in terms of MPLS VPN, reliability, QoS, MPLS TE, etc. It also analyzes the transport network technologies available for IP bearer, such as IP over optical fiber, IP over WDM, PON, IP over SDH (POS), Multiple Spanning Tree Protocol (MSTP), Resilient Packet Ring (RPR), etc.Thirdly, this document elaborates some problems from the prospective of overall construction of the IP MAN. It identifies the IP WAN as the stretch of the CMNET provincial network and NGN over IP into prefecture-level cities and as the access to the IP private network of China Mobile by isolation technologies; it puts forward the 3-layer network model which consists of the core layer, convergence layer, and access layer by learning from the experience of other provinces; it develops service location and service development strategies in light of service needs; it clarifies the principles of IP MAN construction.Above all, this document focuses on the construction program of the IP MAN. It chooses pilot regions under the macroeconomic situation, and concludes the service access objective and bandwidth prediction of the current project in accordance with the actual situation of the province data bearer network; it formulates viable construction programs by separate analysis of the core layer, convergence layer, and access layer, and also develops viable programs on the routing organization and security implementation of the IP MAN; it ends up with the proposals on network management system and equipment configuration.The project is at the engineering construction phase, and a lot of problems may still arise. In the process of problems location and solution, Guangxi Mobile will keep accumulating experiences and developing talents to meet the upcoming ALL IP age.
