The Quality Of Experience (QoE) Research Of End To End Multimedia Service Performance

Nowadays multimedia service is booming, so evaluating multimedia services performance is becoming important gradually. The quality of multimedia service influents the users' sense directly. It is also an important factor to attract users. How to evaluate the end to end multimedia service performance has becoming a crucial topic which needs researching more. The usual related research just pays attention to system factors, ignoring the users' sense which plays an important role actually.This paper investigates the QoE(quality of experience) parameters primarily. It introduces the user subjective evaluating experiment and does research of the relationship between QoE and QoS(quality of service). It divides the traditional QoS parameters into Service QoS and System QoS. Then it achieves mapping the different levels parameters to construct the multimedia service performance metrics system. This paper realizes introducing the QoE parameters to the metrics system.The research produces achievement in two aspects. First, it acquires the QoE parameters' weighting. It lays the foundation and leads the development direction. It provides the reference value for the research people. Second, it combines the QoE and QoS parameters to construct the end to end multimedia service metrics. It provides the metrics method and standard for operating, service providing and equipments providing companies. It also produces important effect in the related research actively.
