The Design And Implementation Of Graduate Desigen Management System Based On B/S Structure

The background of the project is that all the graduates from the Information Security School of China Institute of Defense Science and Technology must complete their theses. Our college is a newly established one and we met great difficulty in thesis management because we don't have enough experience in this regard. All of them, the administrators, teachers and students have inserted great efforts in the procedure of the graduate design, from the designing and choosing of the topics to the carrying out of it. The efficiency is quite low without electronic and cyber office system, the administrators have to deal with lots of chores and the communication channel between teachers and students is sort of blocked. Therefore, the development of thesis management system becomes very necessary and important. This paper aims to provide functions such as user's registration, identity verification, choosing topics and turning in theses on line and system administration to the design and implementation of the thesis management system. The workload of the administrators, teachers and students will be reduced and working efficiency will be improved as the result of the system's implementation. At the same time, various kinds of mistakes will be avoided as well.The technique of B/S-based Management Information Systems can be divided into two aspects: the server technique and the client technique. The client technique mainly involves HTML, DHTML, JavaScript etc. Which deal with the contents manifestation of the webpage; the server technique mainly involves the Web server technique, the database accessing technique etc, in order to create content. Currently, the server technique can be divided into: the ASP technique, which is based on the Windows platform and the JSP technique of the JAVA platform. This thesis carries on a discussion to the latter, mainly discuss the key technique of setting up the B/S-based Management Information Systems: Tomcat Web server technique, MySqlServer database technique, Jsp technique, Struts technique, Hibernate technique, JavaScript technique, its core is the Struts technique and Hibernate technique.The major aspects of this paper are as following:1. Make a conclusion of the classical mode in the web-programming, gives out the detailed analysis of the characteristics and rules in daily teaching management, and rise up the mode about web-programming and software deployment of the B/S -based management information system.2. The thesis based on a practical project, and gives the requirements analysis report and functional design report of the thesis management system of the B/S structure according to the method of the traditional software engineering, and illuminate the main class file, main JSP document, main database design.3. The thesis went deep into study the problems about Chinese disorderly code, document uploaded, JSP accessing Excel document etc, and provided correspond solutions.In a word, if we choose the correct model of web-programming, make good use of the advantages of JAVA technologies on building web-program and deal well with the problems in data accessing and data transmitting and keep away from Chinese disorderly code, we can quickly develop the thesis management system based on B/S structure and further speed up the process of campus's Office Automation.
