HSDPA Field Testing Analysis And Its Network Construction And Planning Strategy

As the new feature in the 3GPP R5 agreement, HSDPA can effectively increase the downlink throughput of the WCDMA system and its wireless bandwidth utilization rate. The introduction of HSDPA technology in the start-up phase of 3G has become the consensus of the industry, but how to deploy HSDPA network, according to the actual needs of business development has become the core concerns of mobile network operators.According to the unified arrangements of the Group Corporation , Henan Branch organized a joint testing group to give the operational capacity, performance indicators, networking and other related aspects of HSDPA a comprehensive and detailed testing ,thus to provide reference to the actual network deployment and optimization .Based on experiments in the test network, this paper gives detailed summary on HSDPA wireless access capacity and the influence of the introduction of HSDPA to the original WCDMA network, and discusses its network construction and planning strategy in conjunction with relevant technical information.The main research objectives of this paper are as the following :1.To introduce the key technical principle of HSDPA, to sum up the technological advantages of HSDPA, to discuss the importance of the introduction of HSDPA technology in the start-up phase of 3G.2.To sum up the test environment and examples of HSDPA field test, to analyse the results of the test, and to test the HSDPA wireless capacity, thus to get the impact of the introduction of HSDPA on the R99 network under the conditions of Mixed Networking network.3.To discuss HSDPA network model, construction method, and service loading strategy, thus to get the suited ideas to the local network construction and initial planning on the basis of the above theoretical and practical test results.
