System Of Out-Field Selling Book Based On Barcode Technology

With the continuing development of microelectronic technology and communication technology, the software system which uses handheld barcode data collector to get and process data is getting more and more applied in commodity logistics field. In activity of out-field selling book, indoor selling book can not be used because of environmental constraints. A solving scheme based on barcode technology is given in this thesis.The general framework of the system, the developing tools, the running platform, the organization and structure of data memory, the problems and the execution results are discussed . The problems appearing in the selling book system and algorithms solving problems are emphasized.In order to solve the problems that the storage capability of barcode data collector is limited and its work speed is much lower than that of PC a kind of binary-searching algorithm used to find book is employed in the system. By which the memory and repeat barcode are optimized.The basic information of books used to data collection is gotten from PC by serial communications. During the activity of out-field selling book, the original data at the barcode data collector can not be renewed in time because of the mass of data, the limited transmission rate of serial communications. To solve this problem a solution of incremental data file transmission is given and a increment updating algorithm is developed based on this solution. The function of flashing the basic information of books on collector is realized.
