The major advantage being that it is based predominantly on digital signal processor, hence the cost of implementation is low and will continue to decrease. Also, due to its digital nature Sigma-Delta converters can be integrated onto other digital devices. Manufacturing technology notwithstanding, Sigma-Delta technology offers system cost savings because the analog anti-aliasing filter requirements are considerably less complex and the sample and hold circuit is intrinsic to the technology due to the high input sampling rate and the low precision A/D conversion. In this thesis, the basic theory of Sigma-Delta ADC is introduced in detail. And proposed one kind solution of a high accuracy Sigma-Delta ADC digital part. First the architecture and the theory of several popular ADC is presented, then have analyzed Sigma-Delta the modulator principle and the digital filter principle.Detailed analysis has focused on the Implementation of honeycomb filter and its application in the Sigma-Delta ADC. Then the chip design flow of 24bit high-precision sigma-delta modulation ADC is introduced in the thesis. First, the chip achieve analog-digital conversion with Sigma-Delta oversampling technology, then filtering high-frequency noise through the back-end digital filter, removeing the frequency noise through Notch modules, finally getting 24-bit serial data output.Has completed design and verification of the algorithm, RTL code, system simulation, FPGA verification, and the back-end simulation confirmation, static timing analysis.and tape out with SMIC 0.35μm. The results indicate that the proposed design meet with all the design specifications...
