Research And Application Of Performance Tool On Web Testing

Testing industry has been developed standardization with thinking much of software testing, and has been detailed by day by days. The traditional testing of software has not satisfied demands of growing of Internet. While all of softwares are transferring to form of Web, people must research a new mean to testing Web.There are many particularities and difficulties in the testing of web applications as to traditional application, especially in performance testing, such as unpredictable load, reality of designing scenario and veracity of analysis bottleneck. The paper emphasizes performance testing of Web in basic of traditional testing, and analysis deeply fashionable automatic tool of performance testing, LoadRunner. Although LoadRunner can test in many field, but we studied that there are such a lot of domains that LoadRunner don't test directly. For instance, in some environment system do not been recorded script with LoadRunner. The paper focuses how to use LoadRunner to test the system that doesn't directly record script. At last, the article put forward perfecting testing script with Dynamic Link Library(DLL) after studying bug of LoadRunner. The method means encapsulating step of testing that all can't directly record in DLL. Then LoadRunner calls the DLL using interface function. The rest of steps go along same as normal testing with LoadRunner.The method has been implemented in System of Shan'xi Electric Power Site, and has been obtained anticipative result. In this process of implement, a mainly module of the system was tested with the tool of LoadRunner in order to showing normal testing. At the same time, the speed of Data Base of System of Shan'xi Electric Power Site was tested with the method of perfecting testing script with DLL. The paper shows that LoadRunner may test many fields that don't test directly by various means and measures, and enhances function of LoadRunner, and extends methods of performance testing of Web.
