With the rapid development of internet,virtual reality,graphics technology, computer application is entering a new phase. Internet virtual reality technology is one of the most important technology in the computer field, customers not only observe the results of information processing from the outside, but also participate in the environment of information processing to obtain an immersive experience. This requires that the necessary information processing system is based on a multi-dimensional information space. VR is just the key technology of supporting the multi-dimensional information space. The technology has a significant meaning on shortening product design cycles, reducing product life and cycle costs, improving the quality of products.In order to make the movement of the 3-D model that can be controlled and displayed on internet, the thesis has studied how to build model, transform and optimize model, add movement to model, and how to realize integration of network. The thesis has mainly done the following jobs:Firstly, the thesis has studied how to realize establishment of the model. Aiming at the problem that VRML is difficult for the programming and modeling of complex model, the thesis has built the 3-D model using the familiar soft CAD and transformed the model into the VRML type. During the course the thesis has studied not noly the tranformation type and parameters set of the model from Pro/E to 3ds max but also the key technology on exportation of file from 3ds max to VRML and process design. In order to make the model be transmitted on internet, the thesis has particularly discussed the optimization of the model in several softwares and some optimization methods and procedures are got.Then the thesis has studied three methods on the addition of the model motion. The first method is to program using the JavaScript language in Script node. The first method only requires the information of motion speed and direction of the model is written in the Script mode. The characteristic of the first method is the node in the program is few, so the logical relation of the program is simple. The second method is to use the interpolator of VRML language. The second method is applicable for the uniform motion of the model. It requires more key nodes are set and coordinates of the key position are recorded for more complex model, so it is difficult to be realized. The third method is to use the 3ds max and the interpolator of VRML language. It is similar to the visual operation, so it is applicable for the model that has many motional parts and motion direction.Finally, the thesis has studied how to realize the internet integration of the model and the display plat of the mining machinery. The final goal of the thesis is to realize the display of the product on internet. During the course the technologies on server and database were used, and then the data base and Web were connected by ASP. The VRML file was added to HTML file, so the mining machinery could be allopatrically searched on internet by the browser and the allopatric operation and parameter inquiry of the products could be realized.
