Political Function Of The Internet Public Sphere

The development and the extensive use of the internet, in the broader internet generated a new type of public sphere in a virtual space known as"internet public sphere". This new type of public sphere have a major impact on to human economic, social, political cultural and so on. This paper first inspected the Chinese internet public sphere's operation and the problems. Through the inspection found, the current Chinese internet public sphere showing a rapid growth momentum. At the same time, there are empty contents of discussion, lack of depth of the discussion and the lack of the spirit of rational discussion. Secondly, discussed the active political function of the internet public sphere, reveals the negative political function of the internet public sphere. Finally, proposed measures from the government and citizens to overcome the negative political function of internet public sphere.
