Research On "the Scholars' Debated Politics" In Private Journalism

There had been a strong and attractive tradition in China that each Confucian is born with the responsibility of countering bad government directly. After the entrance of modern time's newspaper into China, people found newspaper play very important role in affecting mass's mind and saving the country and etc from foreigner's concept and practice in running newspaper. Thus, it offered the first choice for intellectuals who worried their people and nation, to debate politics through newspapers. Their attentionpromoted the birth of tradition in journalism which was different from western——"TheScholars' Debated Politics". This tradition had more prominent performance in the private journalism. We can see that from Wang Tao's "Xunhuan Daily" to Chu An Ping's "observation" weekly, the private journalism had always held high "The Scholars' Debated Politics" banner. Their "The Scholars' Debated Politics" practices, was the most honorable one in old China journalism.In this paper, I take three represents of the private journalism: "Xunhuan Daily", "Dao Gong Bao", "observation weekly" as my examples to study the tradition of "The Scholars' Debated Politics ", and I also study its connotation and development path. This article altogether divides into five parts: In the foreword, I explain the meaning of "The Scholars' Debated Politics" in the private journalism; in first chapter, second chapter and third chapter, I separately study these three publications' publishing background, publishing idea and publishing practice. Through study these three typical, we can understand clearly "The Scholars' Debated Politics", which was developed along with the time development. It displayed the obvious time characteristic; the fifth part is a simple conclusion of "The Scholars' Debated Politics" tradition in the private journalism. I believed that, the private journalism reporters displayed some valuable qualities. Those qualities are worth our now media jobholders studying.
