As a result of the shift from a resource-based economy to a knowledge-based economy, companies are looking more and more at gaining competitive advantage through managing and maximizing their most valuable asset - knowledge. Organizations try to effectively control knowledge flow, improve organizational learning process, optimize technology management and formulate appropriate knowledge management system. So that they would be capable of the performance, which is necessary for the organization to create value in the market and develop. Thus helping employees to obtain the knowledge necessary for performance more efficiently has become one of the major issues of management.From an extensive study of the literature about knowledge, knowledge space and knowledge management, a conceptual framework is built up from the perspective of knowledge form, structure and movement. Knowledge space has three dimensions of diffusion, codification and abstraction. With the conceptual tool, knowledge, organizational learning, technology management and knowledge management system are analyzed. The goal of the thesis is to provide intuitive explanation for knowledge managers in area of knowledge organization, organizational learning process, technology management and knowledge management system. So they could take appropriate measurement to improve knowledge organization strategy.This thesis is organized as follows: Firstly, it introduces that knowledge science is based on science of complexity and knowledge management is facing some issues. Secondly, it analyzes three dimensions of diffusion, codification and abstraction in order to build up a conceptual framework. Thirdly, knowledge space that consists of three dimensions is used to learn knowledge organization, organizational learning process, technology management and knowledge management system. Finally, the knowledge space theory is applied to describe knowledge organization in enterprises and analyze a specific example of knowledge management.
