Because the limit of ink, paper and other conditions, the colors are greatly influenced by the output device colorimetric properties, so the color management of output device is the key of Color Management System (CMS). The purpose of this paper is to study the color management technology of output device, and apply it to practical applications.According to the output device imaging principle and color management theory, as well as by dint of spectrophotometer and other equipment, first analyze the Neugebauer arithmetic model, use it to create the profile based on the color lookup table, then obtain the color management software of output device, and apply the theory of output device to practical applications. In the color management software, the Neugebauer equation is the important means to establish the Output device profile. The merit of Neugebauer equation is the principle is clear, but we discovered that in the practical application, when we straight make use of Neugebauer equation to establish the output profile, the output profile precision is very low. Therefore, this article analyzes several correction methods of Neugebauer equation, and put forward a new correction method, and use the corrected Neugebauer equation to design the arithmetic model of Output device profile, then make use of the general and new output device profile arithmetic model to experiment, prove that the new output device profile arithmetic model is better than general one; According to the result of output device profile arithmetic model and ICC specification to create the output device profile, and obtain the color management software with the function of creating and evaluating output device profile; through comparing with the concentric software, this paper evaluates the software.The experimental results show that: the new Neugebauer equation correction method can significantly enhance Neugebauer equation color conversion accuracy, as used to the CMYK to the L * a * b * color conversion, the average chromatic aberration is less than 3; with VC + + 6.0 this paper compiles the software which can create the output device profile, with the profile to realize the color space conversion, the chromatic aberration is almost equal to the results of ProfileMaker5.0,△E94 average chromatic aberration is less than Profile Maker software by one chromatic aberration units.
