Association Rule Mining Technique Based On Data Cube

As the development of telecom market competition, as well as the continuous enhancement of business objectives and requirements which telecom operators put,telecom operators are facing the problem to improve service levels, enhance profitability,and improve network quality.At the same time, the development of the telecom business have accumulated large amounts of operational data. How to achieve the goal to make use of these information is the key problem for the leaders and the decision-makers. OLAM(OLAP Mining) is a mechanism which integrates on-line analytical processing with data mining so that the quality and efficiency of mining can be improved. In this paper, we discuss how OLAP mining should be applicated in telecom. With development of Data Warehouse and Data Mining,how to mine information in data warehouse and data cube to integrate DM and DW has become a very important problem. What this paper discussed is a concrete problem in this area, which involves data cube construction, multidimensional association rule mining etc. The research has a very broad range of applications.Association rules mining is one of the important functions of data mining, which discovers a set of interesting association from relevant sets of data in a database. Algorithm Apriori is the most famous methed for mining single-dimensional and Boolen association rules from transaction data bases. The data in Data warehouse is organized in the form of multi-dimension, and the data in the multi-dimensional data model is organized in the form of data cube, how to mine multi-dimensional association rules based on data cube is one of focus problems in recent years. In this paper, we will present some new algorithms by adapting the conventional algorithm such as Apriori, These algorithms include intra-dimension association rules mining and inter-dimension association rules mining. At the same time put forward the concept of user interaction, design a tree multidimensional type structure. It uses tree structure to describe a multidimensional cube.Users can use various operators of tree structure to participate in the process of mining association rules.Two years of study in telecom provides plenty of knowledge on this field and related engineering theory and experience, while build a solid foundation for the realization of mining association rules based on Data Cube.It proved that this OLAM system based on the theme of Point-Accumulation data cube has achieved it goal as a OLAM system and supplied decision support for analysts of Telecom.
