Under the background that information technologies especially the database technology are developing rapidly, at present the mass of inner history data are stored in various trades, the port corporation is not a exception. But the data taking on some characters such as separating-storage, disunity in data structure, data redundancy, data un-integration and so on, which makes data integration more difficult. Facing the large numbers of multifarious data, the traditional data analysis methods have some difficulties in dealing with the mass data, resulting in the more and more serious data disasters. Through the functions of simple inquiry and report generation, only the surface layer data information can be obtained. But the internal relation and connotative information of the data attributes can not be obtained, i.e. the information and the knowledge that are connoted, which leading to the waste of the resources. Therefore, how to use those data reasonably becomes a hot important information resource management problem. Data warehouse, On-line analytical processing, Data mining technology have provided an effective way in solving this problem.Association Rules Mining, as an important research subject of data mining field, which plays an important role in many practical applications. Under the background of production data of Yingkou Port, and on the basis of others' study of Association Rules Mining, we design and implement Association Rules Mining model based on the Port data warehouse and the OLAP technology. The main research are showed as follows:Firstly, this paper introduces the research background and research significance, which include the development and further research direction on this subject home and abroad, also she introduces the concept of data warehouse, data cube, OLAP and Association Rules, and introduces the classification, method and classical algorithms of Association Rules mining;Secondly, this paper elaborate the establishing of port production data warehouse and the OLAP data cube, which include the step of business needs analysis, data analysis, whole design, data model design, data pre-processing, and the establishing and displaying of dimension hierarchy aggregate data cube. This part is one emphasis of research and it is the research basis of the Association Rules Mining;Thirdly, this paper discusses the design and realization of Association Rules Mining model based on the data warehouse and the OLAP technology, this section is the other emphasis of the whole paper. This model presents a new algorithm-MD&ML FP algorithm, on the base of the port data analysis and the Association Rules Mining algorithm-FP-growth algorithm, it realizes the MD&ML Association Rules mining on the data cube, and then analyzes the strong Association Rules from market management, ship management and shipping routine, which help port management decisions.Finally, this paper summarizes the whole study work, and make further prospect to the work.
