With the development of Embedded System,digital communication technology and micro-processor technology,digitalize,intelligentize and miniaturization have become the development direction for modern digital reeceiver system..With the advantage of unique dual-core structure and character of high performance and low consumption,Open Multimedia Applications Platform(OMAP)which integrate DSP core with the character of high performance and low consumption with ARM processor with the quality of strong control performance,is widely applied to the fields,such as wireless communication,video conference,automatic control, measuring instrument and military and so on.At the same time,the flexibility of the design is enhanced and the function of the system is extended as the result of the utilization of FPGA.Benefiting from the high performance and low consumption of OMAP processor and the powerful computing performance of FPGA,the system provides a perfect solution for the design of the portable digital receiver.This thesis introduces the platform integrates design of the Portable Digital Receiver based on OMAP5912,combined with these features about the powerful computing performance,small size,low consumption and the high performance of the system platform.The main research contents of this dissertation are recapitulated as follows:1.This thesis particular summarized the embedded sytem,portable device, Open Multimedia Applications Platform and the development trend of microsatellite.2.This thesis particular explains the hardware architecture and software architecture of OMAP,describing the development of embedded system and the characteristics of OMAP5912.3.This thesis particular explains the digital recevier system platform design base on OMAP5912,including three modules about the system module of OMAP5912,FPGA module and the peripherals module of OMAP5912.4.This thesis particular explains the method of constructing cross-compile environment.Describing the content structure,booting sequence and the difficulty of U-boot porting,and U-boot is ported successfully to the system.The characteristics of Embeded Linux kernel,content structure are analyzed,and the kernel is ported successfully.According to the system requirement,JFFSS2 file system is constructed finally.5.This thesis particular describes the basic concept of DSP Gateway,establish DSP Gateway on the system board,and describe the workflow of the portable digital recevier system.
