Research And Development Of Embedded Network Video Surveillance System Based On OMAP5912

With the security of some impotant places such as education, government, entertainment, medical,hotels is becoming increasingly prominent, the video surveillance will plays more important role. The video surveillance mainly used for monitoring important regional or remote locations,so that people can discover and deal with the problem. With the embedded technology and network technology continues to develop, video surveillance basing on embedded technology and network technology will replace the traditional way of monitoring and play more important role.In this paper, with combination of the embedded technology, network technology and image technology, embedded network video surveillance systems have been studied,a network video surveillance system based embedded Linux is designed and realized. The system make use of dual-core processor OMAP5912 as hardware platform and embedded Linux as Operating system, browser/server(B/S) as mode,and server running on the OMAP5912 processor after backend and could respond to the client browser's access request,could transmit the video signals captured from USB cameras over the network ,which displayed on the browser.In this paper, the video surveillance system's status and development trends are introducted at first,and the system's design programs is raised. then the OMAP5912 dual-core processor's hardware features and OSK development board's structure are introduced.After that, how to build the software development platform based on OMAP5912, including the u-boot's transplantation, kernel's transplantation, file system's production ,are described. Finally, the design of application software systems, including the overall structure of application software, USB interface for video capture, video compression, the analysis of the embedded server Boa principle and process of work , are described and details of Boa-server's transplantation, CGI's development , the CGIC-library's use, user authentication and video transmission function module's design are described.After debugging, the system achieved the function in the LAN environment to monitor the scence's situation, practical application shows that the system is stable, smooth video, interactive, and user-friendly, the system's design is correct and feasible. In the final paper, the complete contents of the system are summarized, and suggestions to improve the program are proposed.
