| With the rapid development of wireless communication,WLAN(Wireless Local Area Network)is playing a role in wireless accessing.The mobile terminals based on embedded system pile up one after another.Meanwhile,the subscribers' desiring for the mobile terminals is of not only portability and mobility,but also networking and individuality.Therefore,combining with WLAN,the mobile device with small size,lower power-consumption and high performance is now focused in the application of embedded system.We have the embedded system based on the Montavista Linux and OMAP5912 satisfied for the consumption,which is in accordance with the trend of industry.The paper firstly tells us the feature of the WLAN technology and the mainstream IEEE802.11 series.Several kinds of authentication technology are given in consideration of the security in the network.The architechure and feature of OMAP5912 is showed in this paper.Montavista Linux becomes the suitable OS(operating system)in comparison with other OS.It is described in details that the structure and booting sequence of U-boot.The components of Linux kernel,the structure of source code and the steps of the portability of Linux are introduced in the text.The setup of NFS file system supports the modification of kernel repeatedly without burning flash and reduces the loss of flash.According to the univerality of interface and the consistency of drivers, two wireless NIC are used.With the analysis of device drivers in Linux and the principle of work,the driver of wireless NIC(network interface card)can run in the embedded system,the method of modifying makefile is also listed in the paper.After test program,it is indicated that the wireless NIC can work properly on OMAP5912,which can benefit the followed research on wireless network. |
