RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) is a non-contact and multi-objective automatic identification technology. It can identify the target objection automatically and obtain the related data by radio frequency signal. It has the advanced function that the earlier automatic identification technologies don't have. It has a bright future for application in the fields which requests the non-contact data acquisition and exchanging, such as mine, transportation, logistics, tamper-proof and so on.On the basis of collecting the application materials of the RFID technology at home and abroad massively, according to the present management situation of the truck transportation in the open-pit mine in our country, this paper has developed a set of truck transportation information system of the open-pit mine by application of the RFID technology combining the modern computer technology and the communication technology. This system takes the E-tag as information carrier of the truck transportation, using the reader to collect the E-tag information, and then streams the data into the computer through the serial port to process, finally realizes the statistical and query load of the truck and shovel in the open-pit mine by operating the computer, providing the important basis for monitoring and managing the load of the truck and shovel in the open-pit mine and for the production of the open-pit mine.This paper has mainly completed the following work:(1) After deeply studying the RFID technology and in consideration to the actual production of SanDaoZhuang open-pit mine of Luoyang Luanchuan Molybdenum Industry Group. Inc. This paper proposed the information system of truck transportation of open-pit mine based on RFID technology.(2) This paper proposed the dispatch and binding of truck transportation, which can limit the place for loading and unloading of the truck and shovel effectively by setting the binding on the client side. This can improve the modernization level of open-pit mine companies in managing the load and transportation of the truck and shovel. (3) Based on the related research, this paper designed the system from both sides of software and hardware, developed the communication server, the database server and the software of the client side of the truck transportation information system in the open-pit mine successfully.(4) This system was actually deployed in the SanDaoZhuang open-pit mine of Luoyang Luanchuan Molybdenum Industry Group. Inc. Installed, tested and debugged smoothly, the system showed good performance and it could reach to the expected goal and effect. The practical application indicated that this system is feasible and successful. It can count the times of the truck and shovel of load and transportation accurately. It could not only provide important reference for the evaluation of work quantity of truck and shovel in the open-pit mine, but also improve the precision and the efficiency in matching mined ore.This system has stable and reliable software, user-friendly surface, strong extendibility, and it is convenience for use. Although it has be designed aiming at the truck transportation system of the open-pit mine, it has an extend application by making small changes.
