With the great development of computer and network technology, colleges both in national and international plunge much human resource and money into their informatization area. Therefore, many kinds of information systems are used in teaching, researching and their daily management. But the current distribute systems can not fulfill user's senior searching and some other complex demands currently. So, an integration structure data environment is needed in order to fulfill user's new requirements. Another problem is during the informatization process people pay much attention on structured data and ignored the research of non-structured data. Based on these two main problems this study gives a research on the data of schools in colleges, and analyze the characteristic of these data. And then raise a solution to provide a integrate directory environment for non-structured data and collect structured data from current information system data base by using Lightweight Directory Access Protocol and traditional data warehouse separately.There are two clues in this study, the first one is user-oriented analyze and design and the second one is analyze and design of theme. At first, this study raises the main problems and introduces the background of these problems, and then gives the research status of these problems both in national and international. In order to solve these problems, this study gives a detailed discussion about Lightweight Directory Access Protocol and traditional theme data warehouse. And then divide the non-structured data into five groups according to its grade of privacy and divide structured data into three theme area: teachers, students and courses. At last, based on these two clues, this study use School of Management in Harbin Institute of Technology as an example to discuss some key points of designing the solution, including the divide of directory and the setup of user privilege and management process of user privilege for the five groups of non-structured data, and use a formula to calculate the theme in the three theme area and then get a result that five tables have the theme property, and this formula is calculated objectively and will not leak any tables with theme property by using subjective methods. This study gives an embedded analyze on both structured and non-structured data of schools in colleges and gives a detailed discussion on design process of theme property and user-oriented property. It will give theory and practice instructions when building integrated collection and management environment in schools in colleges.
