The Application Of Lightweight Directory Access Protocol In University Resource Planning System

The university informationalization is a kind of hypothesized education environment based on the digitized information, the computer technology and the network system, which makes digitization the teaching and management, informationalization and intellectualization realize within a university.With the rapid development of information technology, the university informationalization construction made significant progress.Based on the researches of information effective sharing, the application effective integration, the user unification connection in the campus network , referred to ERP (enterprise resources plan), Qinghua University proposed a concept that is the university resources plan (University Resource Planning, URP).URP is the core solution to the digital campus improvement, and it is the total integration of university information system. The processing network distribution resources have became an essential function in the URP system. LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol) is LETF making the open, expandable network protocol, has become the directory service based on TCP/IP protocol bunch of LDAP on the Internet main realization protocol. The thesis analyzes the function and the performance of the directory service, integrating with the directory service demands of URP system platform of HuXi Branch Campus of Chongqing University. To make use of OpenLDAP to provide the unified memory for various information entities of the URP system, to enable the user inquire and locate resources by analyzing the content of information memory in directory, naming the directory object, expanding the pattern design and the directory structural design and so on, to offer effective access method and to realized transparently access of the information resources. Meanwhile, the thesis states about the reasonable access control design to optimization the LDAP directory server for guaranteeing the security and the reliability of directory server.The LDAP directory service is a cross platform service, based on the LDAP unified user management system, provided the distribution access and the management different application system information resources ability for the URP platform.It simplifies the system resources maintenance and the management, realizes the seamless connection which between the application system access.
