Urban inhabitant investigation mainly reflects changing conditions such as family population, employment, income and consumption, savings, cash on hand, commodity demand and housing and so on. The investigation plays a great role in policies making of central government on employment, payment and bonus, social welfare, currency flow, commodity production and accommodations, etc. It also can provide data for the confirmation of the exact consumption price index weight, poverty line dividing, and the calculation of aggregate purchasing power, the national income allocation proportion and other related data.The current method of investigation takes the procedures of filling in questionnaire, manual coding for every consumption running account and imputing data into the computer system via keyboard after a written form audit.This system development aims to reducing the abundant duplication of labor. It not only can improve work efficiency but also can greatly lower the error rate so that many problems resulted from manual coding and importing can be avoided. The key point of this research lies in replacing the paper medium of daily tally by computer network platform, including the importing, enquiry, audit, analysis and collect of data all which could be completed through the information system under the network environment.In this thesis the author mainly discusses the system development background and the current research situation of urban inhabitant investigation system at home and abroad. Then the author changes the focus from questions to resolutions and establishes system requirements model in which major problems solved by the system are illustrated. In the system design phase, the author starts from preliminary design and firstly establishes the system including functional and technical framework such as software architecture and deployment architecture. Then in the detailed design part, safety design, database design and design strategy of static and dynamic structures are discussed separately. Finally, several important questions in the process of system implementation are analyzed and discussed detailed.When designing system framework, the characteristics of users are considered. Users are required to save the real-time investigation content at the time of submission in order not to undergo losses caused by network failures. In order to meet the requirement of saving data, this thesis adopts the C/S framework design based on java and provides client-side download via web start for users.The thesis offers two types of checking, data format checking and service data logical checking. The former is a check executed by client-side program at the time of submission while the later is executed by server-side with the corresponding field collocated by the controller and the data submitted.This system can carry out statistical analysis to daily service data, support combined query under different conditions; Besides, data display can be demonstrated by report forms, histogram, cake-like graph and linear graph.Due to the variability of investigation content, it is necessary to increase the strain capacity against content modification. It is possible to carry out user enquiry without program modification even when the investigation content has been changed. The investigation content data of the system will be finally introduced into the state offer system, data export interface would be provided in the system.Online tally system for investigation on urban habitant has great significances. With the high correctness, timeliness, comprehensiveness and convenience, the system improves the technical conditions of statistical survey and the comprehensive treatment ability as well as operating capacity. It also provides decision support for the national economy macro-control and accelerates the course of information of statistical survey. The system will change the traditional production tech method and production mode of statistical survey radically, which plays a great role in the improvement of information collect, comprehensive information treatment and information operating capacity.
