Research On J2EE-EJB-based DSS

Decision Support System(DSS) is the lastest development period of Management Information System (MIS) DSS gets wider development extension with its supply of information for the decision-makers to make major decisions with more feasibility. More and more enterprises have developed DSS in a way to survive in this furious competition.At present enterprises are facing more complex environment. The traditional DSS with certain analysis function can help enterprises solve some policy issues but have problem with the stability and expansibility. Along with popularization of technology, the problems that DSS faced limit DSS development and application. Therefore, there is an urgent need to get new, more effective DSS design and development methods.In view of this situation,the paper demonstrates the feasibility of componet technology's application in DSS model design and implementation and then bring forward the design of J2EE-EJB-based DSS based on depth study on the current DSS problems and J2EE Architecture. The program takes advantage of EJB technology to design the model system which is the most importent in DSS. And with J2EE archtecture it will effectively solve lots of the problems in developing DSS. The design also takes into consideration reusability and distributive applicability, which ensures its feasibility as developmental plan.First the paper introduces the relevant background knowledge of the DSS and decision-making, development status and trends of development technology and determines the DSS development and design goals. Then it expatiates on the J2EE-based program and demonstrates the J2EE-EJB-based framework of DSS. At last it explains the design of all aspects of DSS espcially the Model Base part.In the fourth chapter based on the funds management of one certain enterprise the paper analysies the need, establishes related decision-making model base and formula base and at last designs one DSS with J2EE-EJB technology.
