With high-speed development of our country's economy, the industries of the automobile, real estate, mechanical manufacture, etc, bring forward the great request of iron and steel. As a special profiled bar used widely in industries above,H-beam is yielded increasingly year after year. However, due to its complex section and wide span,H-beam is very difficult to measure,and commonly can't be precisely measured online. But it is quite difficult to change its shape when it is measured after its cooling off product line. So fast and precise measurement of H-beam has become the technical key for corporations to improve the production efficiency and control the product quaility. Vision inspection technology with its feature of non-contact,high inspection speed,flexibilty and easy implementation can meet the measurement requirement of H-beam very well. As the source of information for latter device, visual sensor possesses very important status.According to the measurement requirement of H-beam dimensions, based on the measurement principle of line-structured laser sensors, and taking visual sensor as the main research object, this paper complete main works as follows:1. A general structure of H-beam online measurement system is primarily designed. Based on the general requirement of measurement system and the developing trend of visual sensor, a strategy of visual sensor is brought out and its module is estabulished.2. The visual sensor is devided into four functional modules, and after comfirming the implementaion scheme of each module, the schematic circuit diagram and four-layer PCB is completed.3. According to the functional requirement of corresponding module, the FPGA software programming is acomplished, and with the assistance of ISE, the function of the programme is simulated.4. For the requirement of data processing, the 2D convolution and Fast Fourier Transform are designed and implemented based on DSP, then the simulation and verification of them are completed on DEMO board.
