Research On Government Archives Website Evaluation

Facilitated by development of information technology, especially the wide spread of Internet usage, the e-government construction has become a vital driver for comprehensive competence of national or local governments. And providing on-line services has become an inevitable choice to government. The archives website is a kind of new form for the government archives section serviced for social development by developing archives information resources with a new means at new history period . Along with the Chinese rapid development of information, many Archives Section have established their own website, have certain understanding to the concept,the purpose and the significance of the archives websites. As a file department in the archives site on the internet, archives website draw more and more attention by the archive sector and the community. However ,the government files website still can not meet the needs of users from the present situation, primarily reflected in the lack of content, the disorder of information and the confusion t of management. So, it is urgent to formulate the government file website evaluation criteria to standard government file website construction.This text aims at the characteristics of the website used for the archives website of government to draw up a set of viable evaluation system and use it to empirical analysis. The full text is divided into four parts: ChapterⅠis the introduction, mainly discusses the significance of the selected topic and comments the present situation of domestic and foreign research. It mainly make a choice and optimization of government archives site evaluation mode in chapterⅡ. Firstly, it discusses the effects and questions existed in the present government archives website and the necessity of enhancing the evaluating of archives website, then carries on the comparison to the present government archives website appraisal pattern, initially constructs own government archives website pattern. In chapterⅢ, it constructs the government archives evaluation system from the content, the technology, the management and the benefit , and divides the second class index sign in conjunction with the characteristics of archives site, establishes the evaluation system model of government archives website according to the index sign. ChapterⅣis the empirical analysis of the government archives website in Hunan province. Based on the indicator system of the third chapter, it carries on the appraisal to the government file websites of 14 areas of Hunan Province; further through analysis of the specific evaluation of archives website in Zhuzhou, Hunan province, it puts forward the improvement proposal.
