In recent years, along with embedded system, network as well as picture technolege developed quickly, embedded network communication system and the video unified has become an important development direction. It may fully use the existing network resources, conveniently turns on in the 10M/100M ethernet, thus partially substitutes for the CAN bus, RS-232 bus or the RS-485 bus network way which the early time uses.The technology of ARM based remote network supervising, applies a more simple convient smart way to the application of remote monitoring , widely applies to the many kinds of situations.This thesis studied and has designed one kind of remote network supervising, based on the S3C2410 chip and embedded Linux . It include hardware system board design, vivi compile and transplant, Linux operating software system development and so on transplant. This system can display video ,which captured by camera on net and can capture picture in many format. This system may satisfy the user's simple need of the simple remote monitoring informations.The paper first introduced the system hardware system design. The hardware system mainly is composed by two parts, most important partial is S3C2410 and its memory part, including the essential auxiliary circuit. Memory part contain 64MB SDRAM,64MB NandFlash and 2MB Norflash. SDRAM took the operating system essence and the application procedure movement space, Flash serves as the memory vectoring procedure (BootRom), Linux documents and so on operating system image and application procedure. The other parts are the periphery interface electric circuits, including serial ports electric circuit, USB interface circuit, ethernet data exchange circuit, JTAG circuit, and so on.The paper has also studied the Linux kernel, transplanted vivi and the Linux operating system, built the BMP-format picture capture program, transplanted the network video program and picture capture program SPCACAT to embedded system.
