| In China's modern history,Zhang Shizhao is an important but little-known historical figure.He is a scholar,laywer,political commentator,and is also a good newspaperman,an outstanding activist of the press.Before the Revolution of 1911, Zhang Shizhao was an firm advocate,and afer that was an explorer in organizing the government and seeking maintenance of the road of Revolution Fruit.Either as a promoter or a explorer,the tool he used is newspaper.He look part in several newspapers a few up to 20,or as a promoter,or editor,or special writer.His activites in the newspaper have their own significance,either the concents or technique in every stage of every newspaper,he was unique.And from the sustainability activities,the continuing and short-term chages also reflected mind coruse of activist.Zhang Shizhao went to Europe for several times in his life,he was subject to the impact of British liberalism,liberalism was the root of his perfourmance and the essence of his thinking.The collision of West and East,the conflict between the essence of liberalism and Patriotic National belief,both often made him confused. Therefore,inherent contradictions,which were seen when literal interllectuals in China introduced the liberalism,is a key to understanding the Zhang Shizhao.Starts with educational enviroment and the background of his life,this article has a longitudinal study in each stage of Zhang Shizhao's activities,following the nature order of time.With two clues going hand in hand,this paper discusses Zhang Shizhao's activities with the press,including contents of his texts and technique in the three stages:the stage of rowing over the Qing Government and revoluting,the stage of demacracy and freedom and the phrase of conservative press activities.In the accordence with the actual situation and the collection of information,the author highlights differrent aspects.Therefore,this paper basically outlines his press activities before and after the establishment of Republic of China. |
