The Study Of Mapping IEC61850 To CORBA

On the base of deeply study of IEC 61850 and CORBA(Common Object Request Broker Architecture), this paper present a way of mapping IEC 61850 to CORBA. About mapping of IEC 61850 to CORBA, the key point is the mapping ofACSI(Abstract Communication Service Interfaces) to IDL(Interface Definition Language). This paper deeply discusses how to map ACSI basic data type,ACSI common type,common data attribute type and information model to IDL.In order to validate the mapping, one system is developed based on one of open-source implementation of CORBA—MICO(Mico Is COrba). In the system, data is modeled according to IEC 61850, and the server implements the services of objects, for example, logical nodes, logical devices and so on, and the communication between client and server has also been implemented. By describing how to develop the system, this paper presents a way of implementation of mapping IEC 61850 to CORBA with C++.
