Recently, for the needs of mobile application development, The Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology has challenged the adaptability, flexibility and maintainability of traditional RFID applications. Use the RFID Middleware developing experience, based on the technology of mobile development and RFID, Mobile RFID Middleware is being developed for meet this challenge. It integrates edge readers into enterprise information management system seamlessly through providing real-time, effective and reliable RFID data about products which improve productivity.As a typical Message-Based middleware, Mobile RFID Middleware is the nerve center of all RFID mobile application. Its application environment is enterprises work site, so its function should contains RFID data collection and filter, RFID data transfer security, message passing by mobile, reception and synergies of job commands, local database management and mobile RFID reader control. .net compact framework is the most popular mobile application development platform. It provides support for mobile device program development and is a research foundation of this article.To address functions and scalability issues of RFID middleware, this dissertation focus on high reliability of mobile RFID middleware platform architecture which based on operating characteristics of discrete manufacturing enterprises; Research on mechanism of effective data collection and transmission; Research on controllable data filtering algorithm based on RFID data features; For message service in mobile application areas, research on message management model which based on the technology of 802.11b and MSMQ.Chapter 1 presents the concept of mobile RFID middleware which is originated from integration of middleware, RFID and mobile technology. Also some related research work and existing RFID middleware products are given in this chapter, so that the research topic of this dissertation is proposed.Chapter 2 discussed the background knowledge to the study of this dissertation which contains RFID, .NET Compact Framework and mobile RFID middleware technology.In Chapter 3 the system framework of mobile RFID middleware which named as EmbedMid is introduced. Based on our mobile RFID middleware, it proposed the enterprise management platform model which is used to practical mobile application scene. According to devise the internal structure of the EmbedMid, we introduce the design and development ideas of core module.Chapter 4 gives the structure design methods of service program which deployed in the application server. It could be used to solve the control problems of mobile RFID business management. Research on interactive process between internal modules in some simulation scenarios, and core functions which need provides in each module will be presented.The last chapter summarizes the work in this dissertation, and proposes some future work.
