With the rapid development and wide application of the infrared detection technology today, study on the infrared-sensitive element is of great practical value and great economic benefits. The PZT (Lead Zirconate titanate) chip sensitive element researched in this paper is one of the infrared-sensitive elements.The theoretical model of the PZT chip sensitive element is conducted in this paper, and the influence of the PZT chip thickness, width and the absorption area on the output of PZT sensitive element is analyzed. The standard devices'parameters are taken into the theoretical formula to validate the correctness of the theoretical conduction. The actual manufacturing process is guided through the analysis of PZT chip sensitive element (including composition, surface morphology, structure, packaging and integration).Through the analysis of the testing method of the pyroelectric coefficients of the PZT chip sensitive element, the performance of the chip of PZT sensitive element is measured by using the dynamic testing system, and the output of the PZT chip sensitive element is band-pass signals and is affected by modulating frequency, which is mainly influenced by the high-frequency and low frequency noise. Finally, the application of the PZT chip sensitive element on the detection of gas is designed and analyzed.
