In recent ten years, Optical Burst Switching (OBS) is considered as one of the most promising "IP over DWDM" technologies in the next generation all-optical network. At the same time, Generalized Multi-Protocol Label Switching (GMPLS) utilizes a unified control plane to manage heterogeneous network elements and is expected to be gradually deployed to provide flexible control and management for carrier's optical transport networks in the near future.Two sections are introduced in this paper:First, the over-lay interworking mode is analyzed for the OBS/GMPLS interworking system. In consider of the compatible of the existing OBS and GMPLS testbed, five essential transactions is designed to create and delete Group LSP/Sub LSP. Both the workflow of control interface and the transactions related with the interface are described in detail. The evaluation experimental result proves the flexibility and usability of the control interface.Second, according to the features of OBS/GMPLS interworking network, the network manager is designed and implemented in this paper. There are three main function models the network manager composes of: the graphic user management interface, the dynamic linkable library and the manager section of SNMP protocol. The network manager is now deployed in the existing OBS/GMPLS interworking system.
