Design And Implementation Of Three-Dimensional Visual Municipal Pipe Network Management System Model

With the development of information technology and municipal pipe network expanding, many municipal departments have build their own municipal pipe network management system to increase their efficiency. As there are many municipal departments and the geographical superpositions, a lot of departments are aware of their own departments' pipe network, without understanding other departments' specific situations. They have made many mistakes and a lot of the municipal pipe networks were destroyed. And a lot of the existing management systems are two-dimensional, and now they are unable to meet the user's demands. Hence a three-dimensional visual municipal pipe network management system need to be issued.In this paper, the goal is to build a three-dimensional visual municipal pipe network management system model,launched research on geographic information system and municipal pipe network theoretics, ArcGIS, Java3D technic and the practice on the program design. First of all, the author described the theory and related technologies, including geographic information system theory and development of technology related to the development of ArcGIS, Java3D technic,the concepts and ideas to implement the three-dimensional scenes, spatial database theory and PostGIS technical presentations. Then the author did the needs analysis of the municipal pipe network management system's visualization and introduced the difficulty of building three-dimensional visual municipal pipe network system on practice. And the author gave the solution to the academic difficulty. Then,the author designed the solution's architecture,the framework of the municipal pipe network management system's visualization and information model. Finally, the author expatiated on the design and implementation of the system's main modules and the difficulty and described the design and implement of eagle eye map, the design of various types of thematic maps and the design and implementation of three-dimensional pipe library and display the three-dimensional pipe networks.
