Nowadays, the level of technology is developing more higher. While due to the singularity of methods, larger cost of human and material resource, long interval of feedback and inconvenient data storage, the old management methods of municipal underground pipelines can’t protect the underground pipe network effectively and lead to the continuous destruction of the underground pipe network in construction. Meanwhile, during emergency, inaccurate judgment can lead to the occurrence of sluggish response and emergency. Therefore, it’s necessary to get attention and take effective measures to manage the municipal pipe network. The municipal pipe 3D visualization management system is a three-dimensional visualization of municipal facilities panel data. By dynamic connection between panel data and three-dimensional data, enhance the user experience of "WYSIWYG". You can obtain the current three-dimensional information by attribute query, and also get the corresponding property information through three-dimensional graphics to achieve a real graphic linkage and inter-checking between "three-dimensional" and "property". You can generate a three-dimensional pipe network dynamically to show the three-dimensional simulation result of the current pipe network and make the daily measurements, browse, query and analysis on this basis. It enhances the digitized municipal building and provide a more clear and vivid visual basis for municipal construction and decision.In this paper, through three-dimensional simulation of about 19 kilometers areas of Jinan city (south of North Park Avenue railroad, Li Shan Road, Jing Shi Road, etc.) and the whole city’s municipal public resource data, show the view of Jinan city and the three-dimensional display of industrial facilities and the distribution of pipe network, provide basis and guarantee for the pipe network transformation and municipal construction, etc. In this paper, the development of Jinan municipal pipe 3D visualization management system is based on Oracle database management system to store large pipeline data, and Terra Gate as topographic map server to publish three-dimensional topographic map data, and ArcGIS Server to publish WFS ground model elements service, and IIS as model resource server to publish ground buildings/ trees/street lights/stop board and other models, and the three-tier architecture (DAL/ BLL/UI) of Asp.net as application framework. In background, the system uses C# as its development language, and through the communication of Ado.net and Oracle database management system to load pipeline data. In foreground, it uses JavaScript as a scripting development language and through Ajax technology and background communication to get pipeline data, and through API provided by Skyline JavaScript to implement front web show of pipeline/data analysis (booster analysis/throttle down analysis/burrow analysis, etc.). Using crystal reports as the report show of pipeline analysis and support report printing function.The establishment of the municipal pipe 3D visualization management system is a kind of new industry software which meets the current social fashion and the current social demand and the product of 3D simulation technology and digital municipality’s combination. It has a vigorous development potential.
